Welcome to Vaatsalya Vatika

An age appropriate and joyful pre-school rooted in traditional systems.

Vaatsalya Vatika was started at Powai in the year 2016 on the auspicious tithi of Vyasa Purnima. As the name suggests, Vaatsalya Vatika is like a garden where children are provided with a home-like environment meticulously arranged by loving teachers whom the children call “didi!”  For families connected with Vaatsalya Vatika, this journey has been a very fulfilling one as the children are developing happily while growing strong roots to support them as they get ready for formal schooling from grade 1. We have now grown to spread our canopy to other areas in the city. Our centers are now open in Chembur and Bhandup.

Welcome to Vaatsalya Vatika

An age appropriate and joyful pre-school rooted in traditional systems.

Vaatsalya Vatika was started in the year 2016 on the auspicious tithi of Vyasa Purnima. Since then it has been a nourishing journey for the Vaatsalya Vatika families as the children are developing happily while growing strong roots to support them as they get ready for formal schooling from Class 1. Vaatsalya vatika is a branch of Shishuvatika schools run by Vidya Bharti   across the country of India, the very first in Hindi  (as a medium of instruction) in the city of Mumbai.

Exposure to Bharatiya traditions

One of the aims of education is to transmit safely our Sanskriti to our next generation. The phase in an individual's life between 0 to 6 years is very impressionable. To provide a wide range of exposure of our own different "parampara" is brilliantly accomplished at Vaatsalya Vatika.

Exposure to Languages

A young child is able to master many spoken languages as compared to an adult. And since children love singing songs and listening to stories, Vaatsalya vatika brings songs / slogans / shlokas and mantras in Hindi, Marathi and Sanskrit and stories in Hindi to the children.

Instilling reverence for country

The ancient temples and holy places, the many mountains and rivers, the various beautiful places that make our country the best place in the world and the many courageous freedom fighters who fought to give us this beautiful country as it is, are all introduced to our children by means of stories, songs , dramas and games!

No formal fee structure

According to the Bharatiya parampara, food, water and any form of “Vidya” were never sold for a price. We take a token amount at the time of admission (& re-admission) & follow the “contribute as you like” model, wherein at the end of every month, parents contribute by giving some amount as per their desire & capacity in an anonymous envelope.
